Children birth order in FTM2012
Hi ALL!I have been working with FTM2012 for a couple of months now and really like how powerful it is and all the different features and flexibility it has over the on-line tree and older version of...

Does yours sync every change? I just made a test change to an event description of a single individual and synced. It didn't change in the online tree. I noticed when I synced that I received the...

Did you stop the sync there? you may need to tell it to continue, even though it is supposed to continue on its own after x seconds. That notice is in the beginning of the sync, not when it is...

I have been using FTM 2012 for over a year now, and can not find how to switch spouses when in the People Person view. The situation is when working with a person who has married more that once, many...

When in the Person View, all of the spouses should be listed on the left. One can just click the spouse and that one should now be the active one.Or on the right side of the screen, select the drop...

This may be one of those unhelpful posts in that I just tried this [fixing children out of birth order, syncing, and checking] and didn't have an anomaly; I didn't try it on a lot.Syncing does work...

We have had previous threads on this topic. I had to start sync-ing from an alternate user profile (Windows 7) because changes made from the FTM side never showed up in the online tree, from my primary...

I don't know if this will answer your question about sources, but maybe doing what I do with media might help. Whenever I work on a person I click on their media tab in the right pane. I then click on...

Supposedly, based on previous multiple threads on this topic, showing children NOT in birth order is a "feature" of FTM, based on customer demand.Don't shoot the messenger - I certainly never requested...

Thanks for the ideas barbarajfn. I had not stopped the sync at that point, but allowed it to continue. It completed “successfully”, but didn’t make any changes. I had already tried making one minor...

Thanks - but what I'm doing works fine, for me, and I have no desire to unlink while it is working.
