There is NO upgrade from FTM2005 to FTM2012. As with most previous versions, they are Stand alone versions. There may be patches once a version is out, but they are stand alone.
TreeSync is a Feature within FTM2012, NOT an add on.
Watch want you purchase. You only need to Program. There are bundles, or subscriptions that are in addition to the Program, like Deluxe, etc. The program, by itself, shouldn't be that much. I haven't checked prices recently. Check the Shop+Gift tab, but WATCH what your are looking at and purchasing.
