Do you maintain your file at an Ancestry Member Tree(AMT), then use the TreeSync feature to get the file into FTM2012?
The AMT does NOT use Filenames, but FTM2012 needs them (for Windows). So that filename list is created.
I still would rename the "default" filenaming that you are seeing and do that from Within FTM2012, (there is a Rename feature).
Because I maintain my file in FTM2012, I don't have the issue that you have brought up, but the Web Merge feature DOES use the same "default" filenaming convention that you posted earlier.
