I was able to duplicate your experience. Sounds like either a bug report or enhancement request. FTM sometimes responds to bug requests, but rarely to Enhancement Requests.
You should be able to click on the Board Information link at the top right of this age and then "Feedback info". However, that link is today redirecting to an "answers" page. I have tried the "feedback" link from other pages on the ancestry website and they all redirect to an "answers" page.
So... the next idea would be to email or phone support. Their phone number is: 1-800-262-3787
