I do 99% of my work in my AMT, using FTM 2012 for reports.
My standard entry format for places in the USA has been "city/town, county, state, USA," without the use of the word County. To date that has worked, and I prefer the cleaner look of not having the word County repeated a gazillion times, whether on-screen or in a report. I found nothing in instructions that indicated the word County was required.
Yesterday, I was running a report that concerned the only 2 family members, to date, with a connection to Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA. For both persons, the location corrupted, in every report I tried, to "Louisiana, USA."
If I remove the word Boston, the reports correct themselves to read "Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA," but are then inaccurate or at least not as specific as they could and should be.
If I add County, the reports correctly read "Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, USA," but they don't match any other timeline entry for those persons or anyone else in the rest of the report or tree.
This may well happen with other locations, Boston is the only one I have noticed. Does anyone have an explanation or a fix, or is this one of those problems that I have to deal with.
Thanks for any insight or suggestions.
