You can try that, no harm in trying and it may work. If the error persists, then COMPLETELY uninstall the program using these instructions:

Then reinstall, then Update the software (should happen automatically on first run, if not do Help>Update), then File>Open and find your tree file. Uninstalling the program won't touch your trees.
