I saw your posts and as a fellow FTM and Ancestry.com user would like to thank you for all your efforts in helping to define and fix these bugs. I was very excited when I heard one would be able to merge the data in FTM with Ancestry.com.
I work in IT and usually like others work out the bugs. I have not upgraded my software as of yet. I got an email from Ancestry today to upgrade and that is how I stumbled upon your posts. I understand you have to upgrade your program every so often to stay current, but the only reason to go through the hassles of upgrading every year is if FTM adds some significant value. I would like to see the problems with the merging of data between FTM and ancestry.com fixed. I would also like to see a report that looks more like a book. If you have little info on a particular individual, software would have the option of dropping in a some timeline info.
I hope the good people at FTM/Ancestry.com help you resolve these issues. They should also send you free updates to there program every year and some free access to Ancestry.com.
