There is a pivotal fact that occurred in my wife's family during the Civil War. During the Union Army's confiscation of horses from Hugh Moss's farm near the Salt Works at Barry's Lick in Butler Co Kentucky, Hugh shot and killed a Union officer, John Phelps. After the killing, the family separated. One son remaining in Butler Co and serving in the Union Army. Hugh and the rest of his family moved to the protection of the Confederate Camp at Water Valley Kentucky.
I did not see any facts that that this would fit into. Would a custom fact be the best way to document this? Fact called "Killing"? Is there a better way to document this. (Both Hugh's and John Phelps bio's from Parrins currently are in the notes section.)
PS: I am sure my family from northern Indiana see this differently.
