I use FTM 2006. I tried using FTM 2011 for a few months, but stopped using it due to the incredible amount of errors it generated and its extreme inconvenience. I've decided to hold off buying any new versions of FTM until they get their act together and produce a program that is superior to what I already have, otherwise I really can't see a reason for a change.
From what I've read on boards like this one, they haven't improved yet and FTM 2012 is at least as bad as 2011.
Among other things, I am unwilling to manually fix the names of tens of thousands of people that were altered when I imported from 2006 into 2011. While working as fast I can to enter data (after I have the source information and am simply adding it and the people to my tree) I was able to add a maximum of 36 people to my tree in an entire day with 2011, but over 1,200 during a comparable period with 2006. The newer program was just too slow on so many levels for me to add any more.
If you have experienced similar problems, I would suggest not buying anything else from them. If enough people refuse to buy a product with so many major problems, maybe they will finally fix them.
