John married Susie making them husband and wife.
Isaac Horner and Lydia Wright are 7th great grandparents of John thru their daughter Deliverance. What is interesting is that if I use the relationship calculator to show the relationship between John and Lydia she is his 7th great grandmother. If I swatch the relationship to show the relationship between Lydia and John he is husband of Lydia’s 6th great granddaughter. This is an issue that has come up before. John should be the 7th great grandson of Lydia since this is the direct bloodline relationship. John is shown as husband of Lydia’s 6th great granddaughter because Susie is the 6th great granddaughter of Isaac Horner and Lydia Wright thru their daughter Hannah. If I switch Susie and Lydia Lydia becomes the 6th great grandmother of Susie.
Since Deliverance Horner and Hannah Horner are sisters all of their descendants are cousins. The Relationship report in FTM 16 showed that John and Susie were husband and wife and that they were 6th or 7th cousins one time removed. I don’t remember the exact number. The relationship calculator in FTM 2012 shows that John and Susie are husband and wife and that John is brother-in-law of Susie’s 2nd cousin. FTM also says that there is NO COMMON RELATIVE. That is obviously wrong. Isaac Horner and Lydia Wright are common relatives. John and Susie are cousins but I cannot find any place where FTM 2012 shows this relationship.
There are other common ancestors for John and Susie that show the same results but I won’t get in to that.
