I have FTM version 2010.
In quite a few instances I have, for example "Mary" who is my 2nd cousin 3x removed and her husband "John" who also happens to be my cousin from another branch of my family. John and Mary are not related to each other but they are both related to me.
If I only enter Mary as my cousin and John as her husband it doesn't list my family relationship with John so I've entered John and Mary twice in the database and I am not sure if I am doing it correctly. Is there a way of entering both John and Mary only once in the database but linking both people to me.
I have the same issue with an uncle of mine, he's my uncle through marriage but also a 3rd cousin 1x removed from another branch of my tree. How do I get FTM to acknowledge that he is both my uncle and cousin without adding his name in twice.
