To test some of this discussion I did the following
1-Created a MS Word document outside of FTM 2012
2-Added some text [think of this as your proof text]
3-Pasted some JPEG images into the MSWord document [think of these as your JPEG images supporting your proof]
4-Saved the resultant document in MS Word [in a PC file outside of FTM 2012]
5-Created a Test Book in FTM 2012
6-Added a Smart Story to the Test Book
7-Added a small amount of text to the Smart Story [think of this as possibly and introduction to your proof]
8-Opened the MS Word document
9-Copied and pasted the OPENED MS Word document into the Smart Story
End result
It worked
Was able to see and read both the TEXT and the JPEG [the JPEG was “Opened” because when I copied it it was opened]
So it worked fine -------the only caution in this scenario is you need to be careful of the MS Word document portion in the Smart Story-----It is “live” and you need to be careful of inadvertently modifying it
PS it is not necessary to respond to this – I just wanted to test this to see if it could be done
