“I prefer number two. The advantage to that is that you can go into the Places Workspace and see everyone buried in a cemetery. You can't do that if you put the cemetery in the description field.”
If you put the information in the description field you can run a “Custom Report” like the following example
I use the description field and the Custom Report, that way I am not “changing”/do not have to change the “official” place name
example custom report as follows
Custom Report Burial Location/Cemetery Name
Abbot, George
Burial: Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts; South Church Cemetery (AKA South Parish Cemetery), 41 Central Street
Abbott, Florence Ellen
Burial: Albion, Kennebec County, Maine; Maple Grove Cemetery
Abbott, Gustavus L.
Burial: Albion, Kennebec County, Maine; Abbott Cemetery, located at junction of road from Winslow to Albion Town Line and Back Pond Road that leads to Lovejoy Pond
Adams, Joseph
Burial: Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts; Hancock Cemetery (AKA Burial Ground),First Unitarian Church on Hancock Street
