If you go to a library and look at "the ancestry of ... Joe Schmo" books, they are almost always in this format. One possible difference from the way you described is that they usually only present the direct-line register report for each ancestral line (usually includes siblings). Each direct line gets their own chapter. I make an enhancement request for this standard genealogy report format each year. Please join me and make such a request today.
