FTM V16 does not "Copy Descendant Tree"

For some reason, when I try to "copy" my descendant tree (V16/WXP) the blue circle keeps circling and an error window eventually pops up. It worked a coupe of weeks ago. I also installed more memory but that did not correct the problem. I used to copy the image to Microsoft Paint and it worked fine... but not anymore.

I called Ancestry and they suggested that I re-install the program. I was hoping to avoid this... any help/advise?
