THIS IS DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN!!
I stopped using FTM 2012 about 12 months or so ago because I was utterly sick and tired of sync failures - with the flow on requirement of having to download my Ancestry tree, again and again and again!
On a related front, I was also sick of the fact that the data I was entering into the Ancestry tree wasn't appearing in searches for 6-12 months....and so I became increasingly concerned that my (frequently) downloaded tree was simply getting more and more screwed up.
Three days ago, I decided to give FTM 2012 another chance....after all, Ancestry.com MUST have sorted out the problem by now. I opened and, voila!, it synced. I was ecstatic!
BUT then I tried again yesterday, and the old sync failure while preparing data, etc, came back to haunt me.
I didn't even bother to contact Ancestry. I know the form: we regret any frustration, etc. Meaningless words.
I'll just shut down FTM 2012 for another year or so. Perhaps Ancestry will have sorted out the problems by then!
