When you say you have added the jpg - how did you do that?
1 - to the person directly?
2 - to a fact for the people involved?
3 - to a source citation for a fact for the people involved?
One of my favorite options is to create a fact. The article is often about an event, like marriage announcement or whatever, that I can attach to the citation.
If I choose to transcribe it, I will often transcribe it in notepad and attach the notepad file to the citation for this fact, as well as copy it to the Fact Note for that fact. The citation will then have two images attached to it: jpg and .txt.
The jpg & txt files will not print with a Genealogy (Register) Report, but you can choose to print a Fact Note with a Genealogy (Register) Report.
I can then copy and paste the Fact (which includes citations) to other people involved, or if the fact already exists with other people, copy and paste-link the citation to the fact.
Entering some text as a caption, as you are doing, may be helpful to print with the image, as well.
