AFAIK - that is momentary only - that is, while you have the calculator open, not a PERMANENT display.
My grandparents were 3rd cousins. Given the location and time period, that is not at all unusual. They have at least 6 different connections - also not unexpected, given the time and place - rural location, before automobiles and telephones.
Until recently (December 2012, to be exact) the FTM calculator found them as 3rd cousins. Now (beginning in February 2013) that calculator is no longer able to see that relationship, but sees them as spouses and finds the dumb/silly/stupid relationships (see attached snip).
