Re: FTM 2012 incorrectly interprets data entered

Hi Russ,

Thanks for the quick response. No problem - happy to clarify and supply screen shots.

Yes - original birth info for my grandmother (to deal with only one person and one thing at a time) is
"Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA"

I then removed Boston, so the revised version is "Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA"

There is only one birth fact entered for my grandmother, and it is showing Preferred.

I've just reverted to the original entry of "Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA" and re-synced, so that I can answer your questions with precision.

In AMT: "Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, USA"

In FTM: "Louisiana, USA"

Attached screenshot showing 3 records - at the top left, the Boston record which is interpreted as Louisiana by FTM (shown on the right).

Below that, a New Jersey record which is interpreted correctly, using the same "city, county, state, USA" entry format.

Finally, the 1st record repeated, after removing Boston and re-syncing.

I have multiple facts for that person - but she only lived in Boston a very short time, so only her birth and baptism are in Boston and incorrectly interpreted. She lived the rest of her life in New Jersey and died in Georgia, both of which are correctly interpreted.

Thanks,
Ann
