I followed you with the Custom Fact and all of that. I sometimes paste the url into a .txt text doc, but it does the same thing as a jpg. However, I now prefer to use the new url field in a manual citation that I make up.
But, the one thing I don't follow is: Why, then do you download the public tree? If I find a lead that leads me to records, I add the records by hand at the keyboard and import the record (ie a birth record, census record, or wahtever). I never download the family tree. It's just a lead I have posted to the Custom Fact that I call "link to..." and you call "Family Tree"
