Which version of FTM are you using? These directions are for most recent versions:
Main Menu > File > Export
Selected Individuals > Type name of cousin, last name first, find him/her in index, select him/her.
Choose limiting options for the file - Gedcom or FTM file (gedcom is under the down-arrow button in right panel), privatize or not (will not export people under 120 years old unless dead), private notes or not, media or not, etc.
Select Ancestors
You will be presented with a box of choices. Choose:
999 Generations
Include all parents
Include all spouses
If you want siblings of all ancestors, select one generation of descendants. If you don't want any siblings of ancestors, select zero descendants, etc.
Click ok.
Give name to file and location. I would suggest putting date in the file name.
Click ok.
