Erase the BUT!(I seem to be losing my English) I am agreeing wholeheartedly with you. In FTM I have to rememember to erase the father's name for the child.
I have mainly Swedish names and the father's last name is not the name for the child. It is likely that the developers never heard of patronymic names. I wonder how the Russians deal with this,that is even more complicated.
I have asked about getting FTM in Swedish but no answer to that question.
I think you are doing a fantastic service in helping others. Whenever I get a chance I read the messages here and do learn from your answers to others. I think many others do this also. I was just trying to encourage you to continue - certainly not disagree with anything you said.
