mark as living/deceased

Does anyone know how to mark an individual as living/deceased in FTM 2012? I can do it on the Ancestry website (when you edit an individual there is a choice of 2 radio buttons 'living' and 'deceased'). I know that there are other ways to do this, but I'm looking for this exact feature in FTM. I thought that it was available in an older version of FTM but I'm not 100% sure.
