I can see it is occasionally green again. MacKiev is allowing the sync warning to operate automatically rather than holding it at orange. This means that for it to be green, no interrupts have been seen in the last two hours.
After rolling back to a (non-FTM made) backup from a month ago, I was able to get my tree to sync again while under green. The tree version that looked like it sync'ed successfully under orange never worked again.
The status is back to orange. If you read the Ancestry.com forum or Facebook, you can see the website on its own is having a lot of problems. People are getting empty searches, messages sent from their own account, page not found issues. and login issues. I've seen pictures and stories not getting save to a person when accepting a hint. Ancestry.com is a bit broken, so I wouldn't expect green to work for long.
