Help with who to put in the family tree

Hi there,

I am making a family tree for my father-in-law. I have his ancestors history till around 1850. But the problem comes in with the family at this point. My Husband and I got married in 2016 but we do not have children yet so, does my name go on the tree then? Also, his brother has a child with his Fiance, they will get married in the future, if her name belongs on the family tree because they have a child, I will have to use her maiden name. Will that look weird?

Please help, so confused!
