Russ
I am sorry, but the problem has not been resolved. I have been working on the "Book" function for a couple of hours with good success (thus the previous note); however, the problem has now returned and is consistant.
Followed your recommendation under the title
"What can I do if Family Tree Maker 2008-2012 continually crashes on Windows 7?"
1. Running FTM Version 21.0.0.466, uninstalled it, reinstalled it and applied all updates
2. Running Windows 7 Home Premium Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
3. Microsoft WSE 3.0 Runtime was installed - Uninstalled and reinstalled it
4. Ensured that FTM 2012 is being run as Administrator
5. Began creating a new Book on a separate previously created FTM Database
6. Moved the entire database to another PC
7. Created a new User Account - Uninstalled FTM and Reinstalled it
8. Removed my Security package and ran FTM
9. Ran program under Safe Mode"
10. Ensured that .NET framework 3.5 SP1 is on
The problem appears to occur in the presentation of a specific page. The page is blanked out as a 1st step and then the program crashes
Also, as noted in a previous post, the Book operations appeared to work OK prior to the 1st program update
Help!
