Exactly the same situation here in Australia. Methinks the programme was written by someone other than the Ancestry staff and that they are left in the cold with this problem.
This is unacceptable for such an expensive programme and a good old US style class action would be the way to go unless there is open disclosure from Ancestry.
In the mean time I have wasted innumerable hours and have no doubt done some irreparable damage to my set up along the way.
