FTM2012 Automatic Media Sync

Hi, How do I stop FTM2012 from automatically syncing media in the background. I only want it to sync when I manually sync the tree myself. I have my Sync options set to manual ssync with the media sync option checked. Can't seem to stop it. It just keeps syncing all the time and other users on my network are constantly complaining. I have traced it down to this
