Hi. I don't have 2012 - I have 2010 and 2006. I still prefer to use 2006 at present - I find it easier to use, no doubt due to my having been a FTM user since it's early days.
However, I too was intrigued to read of a 'Simplified Interface for Upgraders' in 2012, hoping it might make 2012 look very like the 2006 version. From what I read, it is simply the standard 2012 interface (similar to 2010) with the left most Index pane shrunk by default (which if you know how, you can easily do yourself) and a new icon to open it again - so whilst helpful for new interface converts I guess, it does not seem to be that big a feature?
