In the menu bar of FTM in the People Workspace is Person > Attach / Detach > Attach Father, Mother, spouse, child, detach (any of these).

Think of your people and relationships as if they were connected pieces of an erector set. You can connect, disconnect and reconnect people via these menu commands.

I don't believe ancestry has these tools; so I believe you will have to do these types of corrections in FTM.
