I am trying to see if there ius a list of supported scanners in FTM
But concerning direct scanning into anything including FTM
I have never yet seen a scan that could not be improved by some judicious photo editing before using it in FTM or any other application.
I use an Epson 4870 scanner, and whilst it can scan direct into FTM, I get much better results by scanning into my photo editing software for further optimisation. I use Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro and occasionally Irfanview.
If I find a list of supported or non-supported scanners I will post the information
