Thanks Russ. I can't believe FTM doesn't have more abilities to filter, like some minimal programming code as we have in Excel! I've just been spending time on your blog and have found many helpful hints in the last hour. By the way, I've always been interested in having gravestone pictures, especially if I don't have a picture of the person.
How I handle cemetery: First of all, I always leave the cemetery in location, but I do make sure that the word Cemetery is always there, spelled out. Then I can later filter (in the Family workspace or in reports) on the word "Cemetery".
Secondly, I started by putting the word "pix" in the Burial description as I did get pictures. 10 or 20 gravestone pictures later, I became interested in FindAGrave and uploaded my pictures there. So as soon as they were uploaded, I went back and entered "FindAGrave.com 804___40 - pix" for everyone that I had a picture for. If the person is on FindAGrave, but the memorial doesn't have a picture, I don't put in the "- pix" part.
So, I can easily sort on Cemetery, then name and have a report for those that have a picture or those that don't.
Now that Ancestry.com is working with FindAGrave for those sources and facts, it's just an added plus for me keeping track of gravestone pictures!
