Windows is telling you it does not have any "copy" text in the clipboard.
Some things are not copiable. Does Paste work in a Notepad or Word?
Sometimes there is a bunch of blank lines at the end of a paste and you can't see the pasted stuff because your cursor is so far below the text that you can't see the text. Did you look at the scroll bar and try to scroll up??
