I still don't know. I am not saying they are duping them. I am saying i am showing like 4-5 differnt files called the same thing just w/ teh sequencial number aft them. it is like when i link a census to a person and then i link that census to another person later it pulls down a new image instead of just using the existing link
to do a test on it, all i did is enter in my grnadpa and uncle, both on the same census. When on ancestry.com tell it that their are 2 ppl on that report that are in my tree and then sync it to FTM it only pulls in 1 file.
But then if i go to family tree maker search records for say just my uncle it finds the same census again and shows that it isn't linked to him so i link it and it pulls down another copy.
Now picture this on alarge scale, as we often are working w/ ppl at differnt times, and dont' always know what sources or citations we migh thave already selected. if the sync process can't detect that then we are really doing double the work.
Or am i using the software in a way that is not "accepted or normal"
