Questions re ftm

I am thinking about buying FTM, but I need a couple of answers I can't seem to find anywhere.

Can I see original documents from Ancestry when I'm working off line?

Does it have a section or something where I can make notes of what I have to find, such as look for grannies baptismal cert?

Can I import documents I find on line not associated with ancestry?

When I upgrade to windows 8, will I be able to redownload the program, or should I wait till I get a new computer?
